A small Cessna 150 developed a mechanical issue forcing the pilot and a passenger to make an emergency landing west of U.S. 19 in the Chassahowitzka Wildlife area, North of Spring Hill shortly before 11 AM Tuesday morning, Jul 13, 2021.
According to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Department, there were two people on board the aircraft, which departed from Hidden Lakes in New Port Richey and was en route to California.
Neither the pilot nor passenger were injured. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has been notified.
