Springstead and Nature Coast Tech are starting the fall football season as Hernando County’s powerhouses. Both teams are at 2-0 and will face each other on the Sharks home turf Friday night, September 10th. Central is hosting Tavares.

Hernando and Weeki Wachee travel outside the county Friday, September 10th. Hernando visits Pasco High School and Weeki Wachee is on the road for a two-hour bus ride to Palatka High School.

Weeki Wachee has continued that dominance on the court going into the 2021 fall season. With a 4-0 lead for the season, Noemi Rivera is continuing the Hornet’s tradition. The Lady Hornets will compete in the Florida Gem Tournament at Wiregrass Sports Complex.

Hernando’s Mikey Garland, Springstead’s Andre El Yamani, Weeki Wachee’s  Freshman Ben Mers, and Nature Coast Tech’s Mike Giardino are leading their team the 2021 golf season keeping those strokes under 40.

For the girls, Hernando Lady Leopards are scoring in the low 50’s and the participation for Central, Springstead, and Weeki Wachee is extremely valued for their attendance.

A tri-match happened on Wednesday, September 8 at Silverthorn Country Club, as both the boys and girls from Hernando will face Nature Coast Sharks & Weeki Wachee.

The Eagles swim program has competitive swimmers leading the county.  The upcoming swim meet is set for September 18 at Hernando YMCA in Spring Hill where the Eagles will take on Weeki Wachee and Central.
