Shooting reported near Shayne St and Cook Ave in Brooksville

Sheriff Al Nienhuis posted on Facebook the following video: https://fb.watch/cZnOOB5Srs/
HCSO is still seeking a dark-colored sedan seen leaving the scene. Nienhuis said in his statement on a video posted to social media, “If you’re a person involved or one of the people involved in this shooting, you might want to consider turning yourself in and let us get your side of the story. Because we’ve already got a person of interest identified in this shooting, and we’re going to be tracking that person down and bringing them to justice if they did violate the law in this shooting.”

The victim was transported to a trauma hospital in Pasco county. Other information is unavailable at this time.

Reporters are on their way to this location to gather information on a shooting. Citizens are advised to avoid the area. HCSO reports “Preliminary investigation reveals the suspect vehicle is possibly a dark-colored sedan, which fled the area at a high rate of speed. If anyone has information on the suspect(s), the suspect vehicle, or the case in general, please call the HCSO at 352-754-6830.”
