Wrestling State Tournament – Updates From Day 2

The second day of the FHSAA State Wrestling Tournament is in the books. Boys and girls from high schools across Florida have competed hard for this opportunity. Many have risen to the top while others are planning for their return trips to Silver Spurs Arena next year.

21 athletes have represented the four in-county high schools valiantly with Hernando’s wrestlers standing out so far at this year’s competition. While several Leopards will be advancing to day three, Nature Coast and Weeki Wachee have been eliminated from this year’s tournaments.

“I think we have had a great tournament,” Leopards Head Coach David Pritz said. “This tournament is a grind with many highs and lows. We have 10 placers (6 girls and 4 boys) which is a Hernando record including 3 state finalists. I am so proud of these kids.”

The results for Hernando, Springstead, Weeki Wachee, and Nature Coast’s boys’ and girls’ teams are below. Further information can be found on Trackwrestling.com.
