Christmas for Hernando County children in need

On Tuesday November 28, 2017 at Rising Sun Market & Bistro in downtown Brooksville, State Representative Blaise Ingoglia for the fifth year running held Christmas for the Cause fundraiser to provide Christmas gifts for Hernando County children in need.

Rep. Ingoglia says this often, “It is as important to be a community leader as it is to be a legislative leader or political leader. We always say for everyone to get involved in your community, it's not rhetoric we actually get involved.”

In November, Rep. Ingoglia organized a fundraising event called Celebrity Waiters. The proceeds went to ‘Be A Santa To A Senior’ program which helps put gifts under the tree for Hernando seniors in need.

Rep. Ingoglia added that he and his wife Julie are very blessed and will be giving presents to a full classroom of Head Start children, “They make a list and then we go out and buy the presents.”

This year’s Christmas for the Cause will be given to ‘Christmas Tree Angels’ and ‘Shop with a Cop’ in Hernando County. Each year, at least $15,000 has been raised to give back to the Hernando County community. Blaise Ingoglia, wife Julie along with Ashley Hofecker Legislative Assistant will deliver the presents to the children personally, which they love to do and to see the faces of the children light up.
