Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for BEST Academy

On Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018 the ribbon at BEST Academy in Brooksville was cut. The ceremony signified the charter school becoming part of the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce. BEST which stands for Brooksville Engineering, Science, and Technology, opened its door in 2013, to middle school aged children right here in Hernando County. Parents and staff have worked together since opening to expand and cement the school's position in the county.

While the school is considered public, since it is classified as a charter school not all of the same rules and state statutes apply. It offers smaller classes geared toward engineering, math, technology, and science. While building a foundation for life-long learners and shaping the future of every student who walks the halls. Here students can learn and engage in a safe and welcoming environment. Their Facebook page is full of reviews from parents praising the staff that provide an amazing opportunity for the minds of their children to expand.

Charter schools allow students many of the benefits of a private school, but with zero tuition fees. BEST Academy is like a closely knit family who is there to help each other succeed and share the same values. Meaning the only place the BEST Academy can go is up.
