Bayfront Health Brooksville welcomes new primary care team

Bayfront Health Brooksville welcomed Doctor Marta Bonkowski, (MD) and Nurse Practitioner Frances Vitalis, (APRN, CWS) to their Primary Care family on Wednesday, July 10, 2019.  Dr. Bonkowski and Nurse Practitioner Frances Vitalis makeup Bayfront’s third primary care office in Hernando County located in the Medical Arts Building next to Bayfront Health Brooksville. 
Brand new to the area, Dr. Bonkowski moved to the area from Michigan, where she received many awards for patient satisfaction and quality of care over her twenty years in practice there.   Dr. Bonkowski is originally from Poland, where she earned her MD and also a PhD for diabetes research. She and her husband joined their children and grandchildren, who already live in the Tampa Bay area.

Ms. Vitalis is a University of South Florida alumnus which a Bachelor’s degree and two Master’s degrees in Adult Health Nursing and Public Health and Occupational Nursing.  A Certified Wound Care Specialist, she is an expert in the management of burns, diabetic foot ulcers and pressure ulcers.  When not treating patients, Ms. Vitalis enjoys yoga, music, cycling, swimming, fishing and the fine arts.
