A first public hearing was held at the regular Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) meeting on Jan. 26, 2021, to allow the county administration to move their offices into a building at the Brooksville – Tampa Regional Airport (BKV).  This move to 15470 Flight Path Drive (the Tracers Building) will also constitute an expansion of the Hernando County Seat.

The Board voted to approve the lease agreement on October 27, 2020.  In addition to County Administration, offices of Human Resources, Public Information, Purchasing and Contracts, Office of Management and Budget, and Emergency Services Administration will also move to this location.

BOCC meetings will continue to be held at the 20 N. Main Street Courthouse location, and all official records will continue to be housed there as well.

The proposed resolution includes the repeal of Resolution 2018-23 will remove the county seat designation from the Pinebrook Building, which was planned for the expansion in 2018.
