The ‘first ever’ Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce Hernando Home Show event hosted by Towne Square Mall took place on Saturday March 30, 2019. It featured several home improvement, service and construction based businesses, many of which were owned locally. Workshops were conducted throughout the day by businesses in certain areas of expertise. Presentations included Senica Air Conditioning’s “Summer Readiness,” Transformed Treasures’, “Do it Yourself: Distressing Wood.” Killingsworth Insurance discussed homeowners insurance options. The fair was well attended which shows a high interest level in home repair and upkeep- a good omen for increased property values and a continuation of a healthy, growing economy.
Patricia Crowley, Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce CEO remarked, “Our Home Show Committee was very pleased with the attendance at Saturday’s Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce Home Show at The Shoppes at Town Square Mall.”
She explained how the event came to be, “Our Chamber Team decided to create an event that connects homeowners with needed services and contractors. Our Committee was thrilled with the commitment of our Chamber Member Partners and Businesses, 50 in all; who participated in our first Home Show Event.”
“The event was a great success in connecting Businesses with our Hernando County Residents,” she added.
