Be they rays of sunshine or life-sustaining meals for children in need, good things tend to multiply--especially when an entire community joins together to turn something good into something amazing.

Thanks to the support of the Hernando County community, Brooksville's Operation HeartF.E.L.T. (Feeding Empty Little Tummies) was awarded a $10,000 donation from Killingsworth Agency. Operation HeartF.E.L.T. is a local organization dedicated to providing nutritious meals to students and their siblings on weekends, holidays, and extended school break periods.

"The $10,000 will provide Operation HeartF.E.L.T. with the financial resources to stock their shelves with food and supplies and provide over 10,000 meals to children in need," read the related news release.

Danielle Healis, a Managing Partner for Killingsworth Agency, originally received a $5,000 donation for Operation HeartF.E.L.T.--thanks to a submission process involving Liberty Mutual® and Safeco Insurance® through their 2021 Make More Happen™ Awards. A story of the local partnership was posted on the official Make More Happen microsite, www.agentgiving.com/Killingsworth-Agency; in conjunction, Killingsworth Agency was given the opportunity to raise an additional $5,000 by conducting a local awareness campaign for the nonprofit. Together with the Hernando community, the goal was met in grand style, increasing the total donation to $10,000 for Operation HeartF.E.L.T.--thus ensuring many more nutritious meals for children in need.

Throughout 2021, Liberty Mutual® and Safeco Insurance® will select a total of 34 independent agents nationwide for a Make More Happen Award; and Liberty Mutual® and Safeco Insurance® will donate up to $340,000 to the nonprofits supported by independent insurance agents. Agencies became eligible for the award by submitting an application demonstrating their commitment to a specific nonprofit, along with a photo of a related project.
