Spring Hill Woman Charged in Stabbing Incident

Date: December 21, 2020

On 12-20-2020 at 9:24 p.m., Hernando County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence on Lydia Court in Spring Hill in reference to a stabbing incident.

According to witnesses, Heather Parris W/F DOB/08-19-1991 had been engaged in an ongoing argument with her fiancé for most of the day.

At around 8:30 p.m., her fiancé decided to leave the residence to separate himself from Parris. As he drove away, his friend, who was standing in the driveway, yelled an obscenity at Parris.

Woman Charged After Deputies Find Counterfeit Bills, Printers, IDs, and Illegal Narcotics

On 11-18-20, Hernando County Sheriff’s deputies were conducting a criminal investigation at the Motel 6, located at 6172 Commercial Way in Spring Hill. The investigation involved the alleged theft of money and a firearm.

As part of the investigation, deputies needed to speak to the registered guest in motel room #119. The registered guest, identified as Chasity Lynn Hatch, permitted deputies to enter and provided consent for them to search the motel room.

Suspicious Items Found During Drug Bust

On October 27, 2020 Hernando County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) activated a search warrant on the property of 3422 Roundup Lane.  According to arrest reports, between the dates of September 14 - 18, 2020, detectives from the Vice and Narcotics section “conducted a controlled buy operation to purchase methamphetamine from a white male identified as the defendant, Gary Paul Mansfield.”  

Hernando High Student Arrested for Bringing Firearm onto Campus

On 09-15-2020 at 2:45 p.m., several students at Hernando High School advised School Resource Deputy Chris Downey that they observed a student in possession of a firearm on school grounds.

The student was identified as Demetrius Roberts Jr. DOB/11-26-2003.

The students advised Roberts was showing off the firearm during class.

Deputy Downey discovered Roberts had already boarded a school bus to go home.

Miami Couple Arrested in Organized Fraud Investigation in Spring Hill

Security personnel at Cellular Sales Corporate contacted the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office in regards to possible identity theft occurring at a Spring Hill authorized dealer.

Security personnel indicated an employee was helping two individuals identified as Joshua Lorenzo DOB/08-27-1998 and Jolena Montano DOB/08-20-1999 obtain numerous cell phones using fraudulent identities.
