2022 Safety & Fun Fest

The 2022 Safety & Fun Fest hosted by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is set to hit the streets of downtown Brooksville on Saturday, Oct. 22.
This free event showcases all of Hernando County’s first responder from deputy sheriffs and troopers to firefighters and other emergency medical personnel.
Unlike last year, this year’s event will be held during the late afternoon and evening hours. The event will run from 4 to 9 p.m.
The ultimate goal is provide a fun and educational experience for the public, as well as enhance all first responder efforts to help build strong, safe, healthy and united community.
Some of the units that will be featured by the Sheriff’s Office during the event include the Civilian Mounted Unit, K-9 Unit, SWAT Team, and the Drone Unit.
The Brooksville Fire Department and Hernando County Fire & Emergency Services will also be on hand to participate.
The event will also feature a variety of vendors from arts and crafts to face painting and food trucks. Sign-ups for vendor spots will starts today.
