Monthly 3D archery shoot
3-D Archery is back at Chinsegut on the first Saturday of every month. These shoots are being run entirely by FWC and we are reliant on volunteers to help make these events successful. Please contact the center at 352-754-6722 or [email protected] if you can help!
Participants must bring their own archery equipment. Traditional, compound and atlatls are welcome, no crossbows or broadheads allowed (target tips only). No pre-registration is required, but participants must sign-in before participating at each event and complete liability waivers annually. The registration table will be located inside the conservation center. Participants have the opportunity to sight in their bow at the practice range before starting the course.
Registration and practice range are open from 8-9am. 3-D archery starts at 9am with a briefing under the pole barn. There is a walk (about 1/3 of a mile) to get down to the range along steep terrain. This month we’re setting up 15 targets (which are mostly in the shade) with 2 shot opportunities at each target.
There is a suggested donation of $10 per participant 16 and up, $5 for those 15 and under. Maximum suggested donation per household is $25. Please bring cash or check.
*Chinsegut has one track chair available on a first come, first serve basis for people with mobility challenges. If you would like to participate in this program and feel like you would benefit from the use of the chair, please contact us to request an accommodation.
Any person who requires special accommodation to participate should notify us at least two weeks prior to the event by calling 352-754-6722 or e-mailing [email protected]. Those with hearing or speech impairments may contact the agency using the Florida Relay Service at 800-955-8771 (TDD) or 800-955-8770 (voice).
