Tampa Bay’s defense making the big stops when it counts

TAMPA- This Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ defense stepping up at the right time and now they’re heading to Super Bowl LV in their own backyard at Raymond James Stadium.

Sitting at 7-7 in 2019 with a couple of games left in the regular season and it looked as if everything would likely stand pat for the 2020 campaign. Jameis Winston looked to be well on his way to being the returning starter, but two bad starts against the Houston Texans and Atlanta Falcons ended his time, after the Buccaneers defense played very well down the stretch.

The Road to Kamala

When Kamala Devi Harris celebrated her pronounced victory as vice president-elect of the United States in November 2020, she wore a pantsuit of ivory white; a symbolic fashion choice, as it was through the power and collective efforts of the American suffragettes that--100 years ago last year--American women fully and finally earned the right to vote.

Old Friends

A recent walk through the Memory Garden at the May-Stringer Museum reminded me of how lucky we are for our old friends...friends that we’ve had for a long time.

The garden, now maintained by the Brooksville Garden Club, was established over 30 years ago by a group known as Compassionate Friends. The group honors the names of children who have passed away whether as a child or as an adult.

Enrichment Centers Director’s Cut: Warm-Up America

One of the most rewarding things in life, I believe, is helping people who are less fortunate than I am. The number of families in need seems to rise every year. However, some organizations and individuals are working hard to help decrease these numbers. I am so appreciative that the Enrichment Centers Inc. of Hernando County has groups who strive to help others in one way or another. Yes, they get together regularly to fellowship, create, build friendship, and share ideas, but one of the greatest things they do is help others.
