The Bistro in historic downtown Brooksville, owned and operated by Catherine Reeves is a popular gathering place. On Tuesday July 10, 2018, it was hopping with local officials and dignitaries in honor of special guest Governor Rick Scott who is on a campaign tour of small towns across the state in his bid for US Senate.

County Commissioners and county staff members walked across Main Street during their lunch break to greet Governor Scott.  State Senator Wilton Simpson and Hernando County Sheriff Al Nienhuis were also among those in attendance.

Scott spent over an hour speaking with attendees individually, before he was able to sit down and enjoy his lunch at The Bistro.

Scott tweeted following his visit, “I had the chance to meet some great people in Brooksville to discuss the issues facing their community.”
