Steve Davey is a seventy-year-old married father of two grown sons – Justin, who has been a firefighter and paramedic and now works in the medical field, and Chris who is in law enforcement. Steve and his wife, Becky also have one grandson and another one on the way. At a time of his life when he should be thinking about enjoying retirement and looking forward to spending quality time with his family, Davey is fighting several life-threatening illnesses. 

SPRING HILL- The prep football season in Hernando County is all over and the middle school season just concluded with one team running away with county bragging rights. 

November 18, 2020 - At the November 17th organizational meeting of the Hernando School  Board, Judge Kristie M. Healis was in attendance to swear in newly re-elected school board members, Gus Guadagnino and Linda Prescott, and School Superintendent, John Stratton, whose contract was renewed in September.       

(Brooksville, FL) At today’s meeting, the Hernando County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) elected its new officers that will preside for one year. The new officers for Fiscal Year 2020/2021 are as follows: Chairman John Allocco, Vice Chairman Steve Champion and Second Vice Chairman Jeff Holcomb. 

The Board of County Commissioners voted 5-0 at the November 17, 2020 meeting to approve a Master Plan revision and rezoning petition by AXI VIO Holdings.  Planning and Zoning recommended 5-0 to rezone the current agricultural (AG) property to Planned Development Project - Highway Commercial (PDP - HC ).  The property is located on the north side of Ayers Road, 975 feet east of Highway 41, and parcels also exist north of Old Ayers Road.
