NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 14-64.14 of the Hernando County Code of Ordinances, that the Board of County Commissioners of Hernando County, Florida, will conduct a public hearing to consider the adoption of a resolution incorporating a schedule of revised tipping fees to be charged by the County for receiving and disposing of solid waste within the County and for receiving and disposing of special waste.
The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, in the County Commission Chambers, located in the Hernando County Government Center, 20 North Main Street, Room 160, Brooksville, Florida, for the purpose of receiving public comment on the proposed fees. All interested persons may appear at the meeting or public hearing and be heard with respect to the proposed resolution.
Copies of the proposed resolution are available for inspection in the Office of the Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners, located at 20 North Main Street, Room 160, Brooksville, Florida. If you have any questions, please contact the Hernando County Solid Waste Department at (352)754-4112 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, legal holidays excepted.
If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Board of County Commissioners with respect to any matter considered at the meeting or public hearing, such person will need a record of the proceedings and may need to ensure that a verbatim record is made, including the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be made.
