NOTICE OF INTENT TO NAME
COUNTY PROPERTY OR FACILITY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, pursuant to Policy 31-01, the Names Selection Committee for the Board of County Commissioners of Hernando County, Florida, is soliciting public input on naming Brooksville-Tampa Bay Regional Airport, Air Traffic Control Tower located at 2878 Control Tower Drive, Brooksville, FL 34604. Proposed names must include an explanation of why that proposed name should be conferred upon the property or facility and include any supporting documentation. Suggestions should be submitted to the Names Selection Committee at 15470 Flight Path Drive, Brooksville, FL 34604 no later than October 30, 2023. Per the policy, the committee must adhere to the following naming criteria:
geographic location
historical significance
contribution of the deceased (it cannot be named for any living person)
ALL PERSONS INTERESTED in the above matter are invited to participate and be heard. Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status.
