The City Council of the City of Brooksville will hold a Public Hearing in the Joseph E. Johnston, III, City Hall Council Chambers, 201 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, Florida. Second and Final Reading of Ordinance No. 979, originally scheduled for August 5, 2024, HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR August 12, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. in the Joseph E. Johnston, III, City Hall Council Chambers, 201 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, Florida. The purpose of the meeting is to hear a petition to rezone certain property from PDP-MU to PDP-MF. The Ordinance may be obtained in the City Clerk’s office at City Hall, 201 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, FL 34601, or by calling the City Clerk at 352-540-3816.

AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE REZONING OF APPROXIMATELY 14.97 ACRES OF PROPERTY BEARING HERNANDO COUNTY PROPERTY APPRAISER’S KEY NUMBER 354388 LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF WEST JEFFERSON STREET APPROXIMATELY 1,750 FEET EAST OF THE CORTEZ BOULEVARD/JEFFERSON STREET INTERSECTION IN THE CITY OF BROOKSVILLE, FLORIDA, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN SECTION 1, FROM ZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION PDP-MU (PLANNED DEVELOPMENT PROJECT-MIXED USE) TO PDPMF (PLANNED DEVELOPMENT PROJECTMULTIFAMILY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
