Presenting a comprehensive history of Chinsegut Hill

A thorough and thoroughly entertaining look at a classic community landmark--and a standing work of art--will kick off the Fall 2021 season of Academia Hernando, the not-for-profit lifelong learning organization providing quality instruction and learning experiences for adult students throughout Hernando County and beyond. Academia Hernando is sponsored by The Hernando Sun, Kenjo's Tree Service and The Residence at Timber Pines.  

Airport Property to be named Dr. Dennis Wilfong Technology and Government Center

The airport property that will house future government buildings, as well as the planned technical training center, will bear the name, the “Dr. Dennis Wilfong Technology and Government Center.”

The new name replaces the name given earlier this year, Hernando County Citizens Center for Success. 

A Night of Hope Leads to Days of Sunshine for Abused Families

On Friday,  November 12, at 5:30 pm the Dawn Center of Hernando County will be spreading a little sunshine while hosting “A Night of Hope.” This event is to give needed aid to abused and endangered women and families. A Night of Hope goes live at the WellCome OM Integral Healing & Education Center, 4242 Lake in the Woods Drive, Spring Hill, United States.

Absconded Sexual Offender - Jeffrey Warren Osborne

The Hernando County Sheriff's Office is seeking assistance from the public in locating an Absconded Sexual Offender.

Jeffrey Warren Osborne W/M DOB/08-23-1965 is no longer residing at his last known address of 20015 Oakdale Ave in Brooksville.  Osborne's current whereabouts are unknown.

Osborne is a registered sexual offender and is required to report his residential address/location to law enforcement.

There is an active Hernando County warrant for the arrest Osborne.
