Robert Camilleri

Robert Moffatt Camilleri, 87, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on January 6, 2021 in Brooksville, FL. Bob was born in Brooklyn, NY and was the son of the late Anthony and Mildred Moffatt Camilleri. He was raised and educated in Brooklyn and Merrick, Long Island and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. In 1953 he married Barbara Denmead (deceased) of Merrick.

After graduating from Philadelphia College of Bible and Faith Theological Seminary, Bob was a senior pastor at churches in PA, NY, CA, MI and MA for over forty years. He was an avid student of God’s Word and had translated the entire Bible from Hebrew and Greek during his personal study. 

He is survived by his children: Richard (Lisa); Bruce (Breta); Russell (Chris); Ruth (James) Catalfamo; Scott (Kim); 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Grace (Les) Wittekind; Roy (Carolyn – deceased) Camilleri; Gladys (Edward) McLeod and special cousin, Paul (Donna) Camiller.

A memorial service will be held at Gateway Bible Church in Spring Hill, Florida, at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 1, with Pastor Slayden MacGregor officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 PM at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Gateway Bible Church, 5338 Freeport Drive, Spring Hill, FL  34606.
