Since his arrival in the Hernando community back in the 1970s, Morris Porton of Spring Hill has worn many hats. Aside from achieving a banking career that spanned nearly 50 years, this multi-award-winning businessman and community leader has shown a resounding dedication to the community--as well as its Chamber of Commerce.
Pat Crowley is set to retire October 31, 2020, as President/CEO of the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce, but this dedicated Hernando Beach resident isn't going anywhere.
"I need to stay in this community. I have a passion for this community," said Crowley. "I have a lot I want to accomplish. A lot left on my bucket list."
"Growing stronger together" is the theme and motto of the Greater Hernando Chamber of Commerce Women in Leadership Summit, an event set to take place 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM March 5th at Silverthorn Country Club, 4550 Golf Club Lane, Spring Hill.
Despite the damp chilly weather, an enthusiastic crowd turned out to sample beer, wine and other “potent potables” at the Greater Hernando Chamber’s fifth annual Untapped Craft Beer and Wine Festival. The event took place on Friday, Nov. 15 at the American Aviation property at the airport. People dressed in warm coats, boots and hats started filing in at 5:00 p.m.

The Greater Hernando Chamber of Commerce's Technology Committee and PHSC are teaming up to bring FBI agent Andrew Sekela to speak about email attacks he is observing. The Sheriff's office is providing an overview of what they are seeing locally.
The event is being put on by the Hernando Chamber of Commerce Technology Committee and PHSC, and Wilson Technologies. The event will have a focus on the various ways businesses are being attacked via email.
On Thursday, May 23, 2019, the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce (GHCCC) hosted its 45th annual Student Recognition Banquet, held in the Heritage Pines Country Clubhouse, located in Hudson, Florida.
The Hernando Chamber of Commerce put on the second annual Keys to Success from March 21st through the 23rd. The event featured speakers on topics that are important for local businesses. One of the missions for the Chamber is to provide pertinent training for area businesses.
