D#10329328 – Renegade is a handsome black & white male Terrier mix, approximately 3 years old and 56 lbs. He was adopted and returned because he showed aggression towards the neighbors dog. Although he came into shelter care with another dog and shared a kennel without incident, Renegade is dog selective. If you have another dog at home, a meet and greet is required. This beautiful boy spends his days working on basic commands and taking volunteers on long walks. Renegade also loves to play in the spree areas. He's such a friendly, sweet boy who loves treats and snuggle time. Renegade is neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated, heartworm positive and will have a 1-yr county animal license at the time of adoption. For more information/availability please contact Hernando County Animal Services at 352-796-5062, or [email protected].

D#10329040 – Lucy is a beautiful white and tan female Hound mix. She was found roaming a Spring Hill neighborhood with another dog when they came into shelter care. Lucy was adopted and returned because she does not live well with cats, chickens or other livestock. Since she is particular about the company she keeps, a meet and greet would be required with any other animal you have in the home. Otherwise, this stunning gal loves the company of people and works hard to please those she comes in contact with. Lucy will be spayed, micro-chipped, vaccinated, heartworm tested and have a 1-yr county animal license at the time of adoption. For more information/availability please contact Hernando County Animal Services at 352-796-5062, or [email protected].

My Mom Margaret was a farmer’s wife who grew up in a much simpler time. She was an avid letter writer. Handwritten notes and cards were done weekly. She never forgot a birthday or special occasion. I like to remember her as this young girl on the lake in Wisconsin. A perfect summer day and her smile.
Happy Mother’s Day.
