Support Student Journalism through the Hernando Sun Student Newspaper Takeovers. Weeki Wachee High School’s The Weeki Wachee Buzz, under the leadership of teacher advisor Dawn Ali-Carr, and Powell Middle School’s The Powell Growl, under the leadership of teacher advisor Derek J. LaRiviere, are taking over pages of The Hernando Sun this school year.
To help cover printing costs, we are looking for sponsors so we can continue to provide the space for these vital student newspapers. Participating schools and students benefit greatly from this program as students gain experience in journalistic writing skills, working under a deadline, and creating an engaging product that their schools can be proud of.

(1 week per month for publication months)
