HOW TO PUBLISH A LEGAL NOTICE WITH THE HERNANDO SUN

OPTION 1: Submit your notice directly to Column

In order to provide a fast and streamlined option for submitting notices for publication, we have partnered with Column, an online platform for legal notice processing.  You may submit your notice to us through Column at https://hernandosun.column.us/place where you will be asked to register with Column.  Then you can begin the submission process, which includes a proof and cost estimate. Please note that Column charges a 10% processing fee on top of the newspaper charges.

Deadline for notices submitted through Column: Tuesday at 10 am prior to Friday publication date.

OPTION 2: Email your notice to Hernando Sun

You may email your legal or public notice to [email protected] in a word doc or pdf.  (Word doc preferred).

Please note the frequency of publication and if you will need a hard copy/original proof of publication affidavit or if a pdf is sufficient.

Hernando Sun will then submit your notice to Column on your behalf. You will receive email notifications from Column with proof and invoice.

Deadline for notices submitted through email:  Monday at noon prior to Friday publication date.

Do not assume your notice will be published until you have received a proof and invoice. If you do not receive a proof/invoice prior to Monday at 3 pm, please send a follow-up email asap or call 352-900-5147.  We wish to ensure we are able to process all notices coming in, but we do receive a high volume of emails.

HOW TO PUBLISH A FICTITIOUS NAME NOTICE WITH THE HERNANDO SUN

Please go to https://hernandosun.column.us/place where you will be asked to register with Column (the application provider).

Then you can begin the submission process, which includes a proof and cost estimate.

If you do not have the content of the notice prepared, under “Notice Type” select “Fictitious Business Name- Guided Walkthrough.”

Once the notice is submitted, we will finalize the proof and invoice.

You will receive a notification in your email when the invoice/final proof is available.
