NOTICE OF SCHOOL BOARD PUBLIC HEARING AND FINAL ADOPTION OF POLICY
Notice is hereby given that the School Board of Hernando County, Florida will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 6:00 PM or as soon thereafter as it may be called up, in the School Board Room, 919 North Broad Street, Brooksville, Florida. Such hearing shall be for the purpose of final approval of the following:
2017-18 HCSD Evaluation Manual for Instructional Personnel
2017-18 HCSD Evaluation Manual for School Based Administration
The 2017-18 HCSD Evaluation Manual for Instructional Personnel and the 2017-18 HCSD Evaluation Manual for School Based Administration was granted tentative approval at a public workshop on August 8, 2017.
A copy of the manuals are available for inspection in the offices of the Superintendent. It will also be posted to the School Board’s electronic agenda for the September 5, 2017 meeting. The electronic agenda can be accessed via the District’s website: www.hernandoschools.org.
The School Board has the authority to adopt this handbook pursuant to sections 1001.41, 1001.42 and 1001.43 of the Florida Statutes. Any person who is affected by the proposed plan may present evidence, testimony and/or argument pertinent to the issue at the public hearing.
If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Board with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, he/she will need a record of the proceedings and for such purpose he/she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
