The City Council of the City of Brooksville will hold Public Hearings in the Joseph E. Johnston, III, City Hall Council Chambers, 201 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, Florida. The date for First Reading for large scale Comprehensive Plan Amendment Ordinance No. 953 is February 6, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. If approved, and pending responses from reviewing agencies, the date for Second and Final Reading of the ordinance is tentatively scheduled for March 6, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. The Ordinance may be obtained in the City Clerk’s office at City Hall, 201 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, FL 34601, or by calling the City Clerk at 352-540-3816.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BROOKSVILLE, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CITY OF BROOKSVILLE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN BY ADDING A PROPERTY RIGHTS ELEMENT TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AS REQUIRED BY SECTION 163.3177(6)(i), FLORIDA STATUTES, AND A TEXT AMENDMENT TO THE FUTURE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE CITY OF BROOKSVILLE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; PURSUANT TO COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT PROCEDURES ESTABLISHED IN SECTIONS 163.3161 THROUGH 163.3215, FLORIDA STATUTES; PROVIDING SEVERABILITY; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE

Any person desiring to appeal any decision with respect to any matter considered at this meeting may need a record of the proceedings including the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based, and, therefore, must make arrangements for a court reporter to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made.
