The City Council of the City of Brooksville will hold a Public Hearing in the Joseph E. Johnston, III, City Hall Council Chambers, 201 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, Florida. Second and Final Reading of Ordinance No. 926 was held on February 6, 2023 and it has been CONTINUED to March 6, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. The Ordinance may be obtained in the City Clerk’s office at City Hall, 201 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, FL 34601, or by calling the City Clerk at 352-540-3816.

ORDINANCE NO. 926

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AND APPROVING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY APPROXIMATELY 442 ACRES IN SIZE, GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF BROAD STREET AND NORTH OF CROOM ROAD AND BEARING HERNANDO COUNTY PROPERTY APPRAISER KEY NUMBERS 348975, 349171, 349938, 350408 AND 349634
IN THE CITY OF BROOKSVILLE, FLORIDA, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN “EXHIBIT A” FROM HERNANDO COUNTY AGRICULTURAL (AG) ZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION TO PDP-MU (PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT-MIXED USE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Location: This parcel is 442 acres in size and is located on the east side of Broad Street (U.S. Highway 41) north of Croom Road.

Any person desiring to appeal any decision with respect to any matter considered at this meeting may need a record of the proceedings including the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based, and, therefore, must make arrangements for a court reporter to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made.
