The City Council of the City of Brooksville will hold a Public Hearing in the Joseph E. Johnston, III, City Hall Council Chambers, 201 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, Florida. Second and Final Reading of Ordinance No. 964 will be held at 7:00 p.m., April 3, 2023. The Ordinance may be obtained in the City Clerk’s office at City Hall, 201 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, FL 34601, or by calling the City Clerk at 352-540-3816.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BROOKSVILLE, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FURTHER CLEAN-UP OF CITY CODE PROVISIONS necessitated by the transfer of police services for the city to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office by REVISING the definition of enforcement officer in SECTION 1-2 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES AND AMENDING SECTIONS 34-61 (DEFINITIONS); 34-63 (RESPONSE TO FALSE ALARMS, ETC.); 38-58 (ABANDONED OR JUNK PROPERTY SEIZED PROPERTY); 38-64 (ABANDONED OR JUNK PROPERTY LIABILITY); 74-165 (TREE REMOVAL); 82-38 (PARKING NOTICE); AMENDING LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE SECTIONS 4-8.6 (ADULT BUSINESSES); PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Any person desiring to appeal any decision with respect to any matter considered at this meeting may need a record of the proceedings including the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based, and, therefore, must make arrangements for a court reporter to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made.
