REQUEST TO WAIVE COMPETITIVE BIDDING AND AUTHORIZE DIRECT

NEGOTIATIONS REGARDING THE PROPOSED DISPOSITION OF REAL PROPERTY AND IMPROVEMENTS THERETO

Hernando County (“the County”) owns the real property that is located at 15241 Technology Drive, Brooksville, Florida 34604 (“the Parcel”), and the improvements thereon, which include a building containing approximately 4,500 square feet of interior floor space, a corporate hangar containing approximately 20,000 square feet, a fueling facility, and an adjacent ramp area (collectively the “Improvements”).

Please be advised that the Hernando County Board of County Commissioners is in receipt of an offer from Global Jetcare, Inc., whereby the company would purchase the Improvements from the County for $1,370,000.00; provided, Global Jetcare, Inc., and the County enter into a ground lease for the Parcel.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Hernando County Board of County Commissioners will consider the adoption of the below-described resolution related to the offer submitted by Global Jetcare, Inc., on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at 9:00 AM or shortly thereafter, in the John Law Ayers County Commission Chambers, Hernando County Government Center, 20 North Main Street, Room 160, Brooksville, Florida:

A RESOLUTION OF THE HERNANDO COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AUTHORIZING DIRECT NEGOTIATIONS FOR THE LEASE OF COUNTY-OWNED REAL PROPERTY, AND THE SALE OF IMPROVEMENTS THEREON, LOCATED AT 15421 TECHNOLOGY DRIVE, BROOKSVILLE, FLORIDA 34604; DECLARING THAT THE IMPROVEMENTS ARE NO LONGER REQUIRED FOR AERONAUTICAL PURPOSES AND CONSTITUTE SURPLUS PROPERTY; PROVIDING FOR A WAIVER OF COMPETITIVE BIDDING AND AUTHORIZE DIRECT NEGOTIATIONS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF CONFLICTING PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
