Barry F. Yost, 86, of Brooksville, FL, passed away on August 25th, 2023.
Barry was born in Dayton, OH, on 17 February 1937. Barry graduated from John McDonough High School in Louisiana. He was married to Alice (West).
Barry was in the US Army for 3 years as a missile range technician, stationed at White Sands Missile Range in Nevada. He also lived in Japan and Germany, returning to the USA in the late 1950’s. Barry also worked as an electrician for Richland Electric in Ohio. In 1999, Barry & Alice moved to Brooksville.
He had a passion for skeet shooting, boating, motorcycling, and hunting. Barry also liked to play golf.
He is survived by his wife Alice (West), daughter Teresa (Yost), son, Tony (wife Amber), grandchildren, and niece Kim Yost.
Barry was a supporter of the Sons & Daughters of Herman and the VFW. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his name to the American Heart Association.

They saw the need for a newspaper when the Hernando Today newspaper closed their doors in 2014. Rocco is from Hernando, he went to school from Moton Elementary through Hernando High. Growing up in Hernando enhances his ability to provide background to ongoing issues. The Hernando Sun Printed their first issue in March 2015. They published monthly for a year before increasing to a weekly printing. The newspaper is delivered through the US mail, so it arrives with your mail.
