Joe Hope, age 79, of New Smyrna Beach, died Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at his residence. Born in Brooksville, Florida to Dorthy Geraldine Webster and William Grier Hope Jr., Joe came to the area 54 years ago from St. Cloud, Florida.
A cowboy, Joe was the owner of Hope Arena. He specialized and loved training barrel horses. Joe enjoyed barrel racing, and working cattle. He was an avid hunter and would help anyone with a problem.
Survivors include his son, Ron Hope; grandson, Elijah James Hope; sisters, Frances Anderson Hope and Rhonda (Allan) Chancey; and brother, Dale (Joy) Hope. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Hope; brothers, Bill and Charles Hope; and his parents.
Celebration of Life will start at Noon on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 3922 Brantford Road, New Smyrna Beach, with Davey and Bob Hope officiating.
