On 12-27-18 at 11:14 a.m., Hernando County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville in reference to a shooting victim who was dropped off at the hospital’s emergency room.
When deputies arrived, they located a 29-year-old black male at the ER who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He is currently being treated by medical personnel for his injuries. Deputies were able to determine the shooting occurred at Mermaids Lounge, 4658 Commercial Way, in Spring Hill.
A crime scene has been established at that location. No additional injuries were reported as a result of this shooting incident. Detectives are actively pursuing leads as to a possible suspect in the shooting. No additional details are available at this time.
