The first HCFR unit arrived on scene within 4 minutes and reported fully involved structure fire. A portion of the roof did collapse prior to fire crews initiating their fire attack. Crews did coordinate a defensive fire attack on the fire until conditions would allow a search of the structure. The fire was subsequently extinguished, and crews did locate a male victim inside the structure. Information on the victim is being withheld until notification of next of kin is confirmed.

The Bureau of Fire and Arson Investigations has been called to investigate the fire. No information on the cause is available at this time.

HCFR would like to remind the community to have and regularly check their home smoke detectors.
