LAW ENFORCEMENT OPERATIONS
• Deputies responded to:
o Vehicle Burglaries x 5 – Timber Pines/Spring Hill – On Wednesday morning several residents reported their vehicle had been broken into overnight. All vehicles had been left unlocked – Investigation Active.
o Baker Act – 9400 block of Northcliffe Boulevard/Spring Hill – 70 YOA female.
o Vehicle Burglaries x 4 – Stars & Stripes Gymnastics/11075 Hearth Road/Spring Hill – Unknown individual(s) smashed the windows of four vehicles where they removed purses from each vehicle – Investigation Active.
o Vehicle Burglary x 2 – Ernie Wever Park/19473 Youth Drive/Brooksville – Unknown individual(s) smashed the windows of two vehicles and removed purses from the vehicles – Investigation Active.
o Residential Burglary – 1271 Markham Avenue/Spring Hill – A resident reported her Samsung television had been taken from her home. Nothing else was taken – Investigation Active.
o Domestic Battery – 7395 Wabash Trail/Spring Hill – Two individuals were involved in a confrontation outside of their residence. A neighbor reported that a man hit the female victim numerous times – Arrest/Male.
o Sexual Battery – Spring Hill – Investigation Active.
o Sexual Battery – Brooksville – Investigation Active.
o Winding Waters K-8 – Student made threat – Threat unfounded.
o Three reports were taken regarding unknown individual(s) calling citizens claiming to be Sheriff’s Office employees. These individuals were telling citizens they had warrants for Failure to Appear and demanding money in return for not having them arrested. This is a scam as the Sheriff’s Office does not make calls asking for money. Anyone who receives a call like this is encouraged to immediately report it to law enforcement.
