Criminal justice leaders graduate from Executive Leadership Seminar

Hernando County Sheriff’s Office Captain Kenneth Hayden graduated on Friday from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Executive Leadership Seminar.

The seminar’s 23 participants came from an of law enforcement backgrounds, including 15 different law enforcement agencies.

This seminar focused on a variety of different topics important to law enforcement leaders, such as succeeding through challenges, managing organizations, and becoming an effective leader.

The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office places a high priority on developing exceptional leadership within our agency by providing enhanced training opportunities.

This unique learning experience hosted by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement provides law enforcement leaders with the skills to communicate in high-pressure situations, as well as how to manage an ever-changing workforce with skill and intention.

Hernando County Sheriff Al Nienhuis said, “Although Captain Hayden is a leader among leaders, it is important to constantly hone your skills as a commander. This is especially true when you are a commander in an agency responsible for the safety of over 190,000 residents. I am confident he will use what he learned to better serve the agency and the Hernando County community.”
