A 34-year-old male from Spring Hill, driving an SUV was traveling westbound in the outside lane of Spring Hill Drive approaching the intersection of California Street. A 22-year-old female from Spring HIll was walking westbound in the outside lane of Spring Hill Drive directly ahead of the SUV. The vehicle overtook her and the front right corner of the vehicle struck the pedestrian who suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash. The driver of the vehicle came to a controlled stop following the collision.
