Hernando Sun All-Hernando County Football Team

OFFENSE

QB — Ethan Fahey, Jr., Nature Coast: The junior signal caller had a solid first season for the Sharks, completing 72-of-86 for 1,146 yards and 15 touchdowns and just one interception.

RB — Contae Cason, Sr., Hernando: Cason rushed for 1,120 yards and scored 16 touchdowns for the Leopards.

RB — Anthony Trepen, Sr., Nature Coast: Nature Coast’s top running back rushed for 499 yards and scored four touchdowns.

RB — RJ Mariani, Sr., Springstead: The senior rushed for 329 yards on 85 carries and scored two touchdowns. Was the Eagles’ top rusher.

RB — Perry Nation, Sr., Weeki Wachee: The senior speedster was the top running back for the Hornets for the 2020 season.

WR — Dedric Hall, Sr., Nature Coast: Hall caught 27 passes for 606 yards and seven touchdowns.

WR — Jacob Lape, Sr., Hernando: Lape was solid in the passing game for Hernando, catching 11 passes for 198 yards.

OL — Dante Hester, Sr., Nature Coast: Hester anchored an offensive line that paved the way for 1,672 yards rushing.

OL — Austin Alliota, Sr., Nature Coast: The undersized guard played in a big way, posting some of the highest grades on the offensive line for the Sharks throughout the season.

OL — Chris Tolbert, Jr., Hernando: The junior was a key cog in the Leopards’ run game that amounted 1,564 yards on the ground.

OL — Samuel Fleming, Sr., Hernando: Fleming was the top blocker for Hernando’s run-oriented offense as the Leopards went 7-2.

OL — Riley Henchey, Jr., Weeki Wachee: The 6-foot-4, 280-pound tackle was the top blocker on the Hornets’ offensive line. 

 

DEFENSE

DL — Donovan Heatly, Jr., Nature Coast: Heatly played big on the defensive line for Nature Coast and notched 40 tackles and three sacks.

DL — Austin Aliotta, Sr., Nature Coast: The Sharks’ defensive end nabbed 3.0 sacks and 19 tackles.

DL — Samuel Fleming, Sr., Hernando: The 280-pound defensive tackle had 29 tackles and six of those went for a loss.

DL — Nicholas Billingsly, Sr., Springstead: The defensive end led the Eagles with 3.0 sacks and had nine tackles for loss.

LB — Kyle McIntosh, Sr., Nature Coast: Recorded 114 tackles and had 10 tackles for loss.

LB — Samuel Sternberger, Jr., Hernando: Led the Leopards with a team-high 87 tackles.

LB — Brady Nowlan, So., Nature Coast: Second on the Sharks in tackles as a sophomore with 82 tackles.

LB — Joseph Chavis, Jr., Weeki Wachee: Led the Hornets with 80 tackles and had over 10 tackles that went for a loss. 

DB — Allan Ho, So., Nature Coast: The sophomore had eight interceptions on defense.

DB — Jordan Williams, Jr., Hernando: One of the Leopards’ top defensive back made 27 tackles and picked off two passes.

DB — James Perkins, Sr., Hernando: Perkins picked off two passes for the Leopards. 

DB — Daryl Browdy, Jr., Nature Coast: The defensive back was all over the field and defended four passes and picked off another.

 

SPECIALISTS

ATH — Peyton Chancey, Jr., Central: Though the Bears went winless, Chancey stepped up immensely and rushed for 211 yards and made 44 tackles on defense. 

K — Alex Florkowski, Sr., Nature Coast: She led the county in PAT attempts made by going 28-for-34 (82 percent) on extra points for the Sharks.

P — Nemo Pierre, Sr., Springstead: Averaged 34.5 yards per punt on six attempts for the Eagles. Second highest average in the county.
