Since its inception 10 years ago, Stir Up the Gift has provided an inspiring and educational showcase for talented performers who finally have a chance to shine. And they promise to shine again at 6 p.m. Dec. 22, when they “stir up” a jubilant Christmas Concert on Main Street in Brooksville.

According to an organizational website, Stir Up The Gift is “a 501c-3 nonprofit organization made up of highly skilled and recognized individuals who are willing to stir up the gifts of others who are equally as talented, but whose talents are lying dormant because they don’t know what to do with themselves, or how to market themselves…Stir Up The Gift showcases its members in live performances at events and around the Tampa Bay area.”

One of these performance opportunities will arise at the Stir Up the Gift Christmas Concert.

“The Stir Up The Gift Talent “Concert” is a show for the young and not so young,” explained Melinda Crandle, Stir Up The Gift Talent Director. “Our performers (ranging in age 6 to adults) will be singing, and dancing, and dressed in holiday styles.  We will not only feature some of the best holiday classic songs sung by our Talent, but we’re throwing in some of the newest pop songs, R&B/jazzy tunes, and our “Young Models” division will show off various Christmas outfits that all will LOVE – (Christmas Fun To Formal).”

#stiruptheholiday” Via the Dec. 22 show, Crandle is promising a joyful performance for those who need a lift.

“Our Group Grand Finale Song/Dance will guarantee to lift the spirits of all around,” said Crandle.  “December 22, 2020, is going to be a “JOYFUL, JOYFUL!!!” night on Main Street!”

Crandle says that the concert is custom-designed to brighten people’s spirits–including the featured performers.

“During these times, it has been difficult, specifically for our organization that is normally booked throughout the months of November and December, to spread joy through our gifts and talents of singing and dancing,” said Crandle. “We are so grateful that we still have the ‘Christmas Concert on Main Street’ as a Christmas Holiday Performance Event because so much has been shut down or taken away.”

Crandle remarked that Stir Up the Gift performers are looking forward to stirring public spirit through the delivery of a great show at their Main Street Christmas Concert.

“Just prepping for this community event has put smiles on the faces of our young talent and the members of our organization,” she said.

This special Stir Up the Gift Yuletide performance is in itself a gift to the Hernando community.

“We are super excited to share in the joy of Christmas by performing in this awesome community event,” said Crandle, “and thankful that we have the opportunity to put smiles on faces in our community utilizing our gifts and talents!”
