  • No. 1 Nature Coast (15-2-2): The Sharks have been one of the top boys’ soccer teams not only in Hernando County but in the Tampa Bay Area. This team is led by leading scorer Thomas DiFrank’s 19 goals.
  • No. 2 Weeki Wachee (14-2): The Hornets have been a very consistent team under the watch of manager Shane Tarbox. The team gets the bulk of its scoring from strikers Jacob Kelly and Seth Tarbox.
  • No. 3 Springstead (5-11-1): There’s a steep drop in these rankings when you go from No. 2 to No. 3. The Eagles are just a notch above Hernando, and the five wins by Springstead is what creates the separation.
  • No. 4 Hernando (2-13): The highlight of the season for the boys’ Leopards team is a 4-3 victory over Springstead late in the 2020-2021 campaign. Other than that, Hernando’s only other win was over winless Central.
  • No. 5 Central (0-19): It’s been extremely tough sledding for the Bears all season long with no wins in the victory column. Central has scored six goals total through 19 games played.

  • No. 1 Springstead (15-3): The Eagles only three losses on the season have come against Lecanto twice and perennially solid Land O’ Lakes. Springstead is the unquestioned top team in Hernando County.
  • No. 2 Hernando (12-9): The Leopards have won three in a row as the regular season winds down. Hernando has won three straight with wins over Bushnell South Sumter, Holiday Anclote, and Zephyrhills.
  • No. 3 Nature Coast (11-9): It’s been kind of an up and down season for Nature Coast. Though they defeated Hernando 7-0 earlier in the season, the Sharks are 2-2 in their last four games.
  • No. 4 Weeki Wachee (2-13-1): The Hornets only two wins on the season both came up against a winless Central team. Otherwise, it’s been a very tough 2020-2021 campaign for Weeki Wachee.
  • No. 5 Central (0-21): Eight goals scored through 21 games played says it all for Central’s season. It’s been a tough one for both the boys and girls soccer programs.
