Deputies from the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the circumstances surrounding the early morning robbery of a 7-11 store in Brooksville.

According to Deputy Public Information Officer (PIO) Michael Terry at 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 25, officers responded to a call reporting a robbery at the 7-11 gas station, at 18226 Powell Rd. in Brooksville.

Upon arrival, a clerk told deputies that three African-Americans wearing hoodies, sweatpants and medical masks entered the store while she was cleaning the coffee station.

One of the men distracted her, while the other two took several cartons of cigarettes from behind the cash register. One suspect also took cash from the register.
