The Museum Association is, once again, proud to present a Historic Home Tour as part of its Heritage Day celebration. The featured homes are within walking distance on East Fort Dade and Museum Court. There will be five homes open or an informative talk will be presented on the porch…you will see why! Tickets are $50 for adults, $25 for children six and above and will be sold at the three museum buildings on the day of the event.

Tours start at the May-Stringer (601 Museum Ct) and begin at 10am. The last tickets will be sold at 2pm. You will want to come early because your ticket will include tours of the May-Stringer, the 1885 Depot Museum, and the Countryman One Room Schoolhouse. That’s eight buildings! The adjacent homes on East Fort Dade Ave. and on Museum Ct. offer a unique opportunity to look at Brooksville history.

The grounds of the May-Stringer will also be the host for demonstrations of old-time crafts and skills. A food truck will offer lunch fare. The Historic Home Tours will be on Saturday, February 18, from 10 am-2 pm. Don’t miss this great tour.
