The Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) voted unanimously to approve the establishment of a Public Service Facility (PSF) Overlay District for the property north of Forest Oaks Boulevard and south of Rhanbuoy Road, east of Burnside Parkway. This is the future site of the West Hernando Tax Collector’s Office.

The 6.7-acre property is in the process of being purchased by the County for the purpose of building a new 16,000-square-foot Tax Collector’s office. The plan also includes the construction of a certified driving course which will allow for at least three driving tests to be conducted simultaneously.

The PSF Overlay District will allow all Governmental and Public Facility uses and structures; however, the site will retain the right to develop all use consistent with the underlying Planned Development Project / Highway Commercial (PDP/HC) zoning if a master plan is approved for those uses.
