Spring Hill man wins $2 million in Florida Lottery scratch-off game

TALLAHASSEE – Today, the Florida Lottery (Lottery) announces that Anthony Szczesny, of Spring Hill, claimed a top prize of $2 million from the $10 GOLD RUSH DOUBLER Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,370,000.00.

Szczesny purchased his winning ticket from Publix, located at 13455 County Line Road in Spring Hill. The retailer will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

The $10 GOLD RUSH DOUBLER Scratch-Off game features over $261 million in cash prizes, including eight top prizes of $2 million! The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-3.45.

Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 77 percent of ticket sales in fiscal year 2021-2022. Since inception, Scratch-Off games have generated more than $17.77 billion for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
