Investigators from the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) arrested Terry Mansfield for allegedly committing sexual battery on a child in his Spring Hill home at 7239 Centerwood Ave.
This home is infamous. Mansfield and his family have a long criminal history, including a brother, Billy Mansfield, who is a convicted serial killer. Billy pled guilty to killing four young women who were found buried at the property in 1981.
In June, HCSO detectives launched an investigation into allegations of sexual battery by Terry Mansfield against a child.
After gathering evidence and conducting interviews, detectives executed a search warrant on the Mansfield residence on July 26. Following that search, Terry denied allegations connected to the sex crime.
After further investigation, detectives caught up with 63-year-old Terry Mansfield during a July 28 traffic stop and arrested him.
Terry Mansfield was booked into the Hernando County Detention Center on charges of sexual battery on a child under 12 years of age and resisting arrest without violence.
This is not Terry’s first brush with the law. The HCSO apprehended Terry Mansfield in 2005 and charged him with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon against David Bell. Terry struck David with his truck because he was fighting with Terry’s brother, Gary.
Terry Mansfield is being held without bond.
The investigation into the recent sexual battery case remains ongoing.
