Located next door to Delta Woods Park on the north-hand side is Doc’s Family Cafe. It offers down-home American fare.
They offer breakfast and lunch six days a week (Closed on Monday). You can choose from savory breakfasts (omelets, eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits with sausage and gravy, and/or country fried steaks) to sweet (buttermilk pancakes and french toast). For lunch, they have sandwiches, burgers, salads, and soups or a combo soup and salad.
The restaurant is named in honor of their youngest son, who joined the army and became a combat medic. He was killed in Iraq in January 2008. They had always dreamed of opening a restaurant with their family and this also provided a way to honor their son’s memory.
Their walls are covered with military-related photos and memorabilia. This is a true family restaurant where your waitress might call out to Ma to get an answer. This is a new location for them at 3432 Deltona Blvd, Spring Hill, FL 34606. They have been here since July. They were previously located by Bealls on 50.
