Announces Requests for Proposals for CDBG Public Services
Housing & Supportive Services (HSS) is announcing to the general public that a not-for-profit Community Based Organization may submit a proposal for Community Development Block Grant Public Services funding for Program Year (PY) 2024 from Monday, May 12, 2025, unit May 30, 2025, at 5:00 p.m.

Public Services activities are funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. Eligible Public Services activities under the CDBG program include, but are not limited to, job placement services, workforce training, childcare, mental health, tutoring, fair housing counseling, energy conservation, financial literacy, summer internship program, etc. CDBG Public Services funding can be used for a range of eligible activities that meet the national objectives including labor, supplies, and materials. A workshop to provide technical assistance for proposal submission will be conducted on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Frederick Eugene Lykes Library, 238 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, FL 34601. The total approved allocation for 2024 Public Services is $168,356. The minimum amount available for funding is $20,000 and the maximum amount is $45,000.
