A 66-year-old Brooksville man died Thursday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash on Spring Lake Highway, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred at about 1:45 p.m. south of State Road 50. Troopers said a 39-year-old Crystal River man driving a Chevy Tahoe northbound on Spring Lake Highway attempted to turn left into a gas station parking lot and entered the path of a southbound BMW motorcycle, resulting in a crash.
The motorcyclist was transported to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The driver of the Tahoe and a 36-year-old female passenger, also from Crystal River, sustained minor injuries.
