CITY OF BROOKSVILLE, FLORIDA NOTICE OF REFERENDUM QUESTION FOR AUGUST 18, 2020 PRIMARY ELECTION BALLOT

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that in accordance with Resolution No. 2020-08 approved by Brooksville City Council on June 1, 2020, a referendum question for the City of Brooksville, Florida, will be on the ballot of the Primary Election on Tuesday, August 18, 2020. City of Brooksville voters will be asked the opinion referendum, as follows:
TAX EXEMPTION FOR NEW OR EXPANDING BUSINESSES
TO CREATE NEW FULL-TIME JOBS IN BROOKSVILLE
Shall the Brooksville City Council be authorized to grant, pursuant to s. 3, Art. VII of the State Constitution, property tax exemptions to new businesses and expansions of existing businesses that are expected to create new, full-time jobs in the City of Brooksville?
____ Yes-For authority to grant exemptions.
____ No-Against authority to grant exemptions

¿Deberá el Consejo Municipal de Brooksville estar autorizado para otorgar, de acuerdo con la s.3, art. VII de la Constitución del Estado, exenciones de impuestos a la propiedad para nuevos negocios y expansiones de negocios existentes que se espera produzcan nuevos empleos a tiempo completo en la Ciudad de Brooksville?
