During the month of June, a total of six Residential Burglaries were reported by residents living in the Braewood Mobile Home Park in Brooksville.

The residential burglaries were reported between 06-05-2020 to 06-18-2020.

All six residences were unoccupied at the time of the burglaries.

On 06-19-2020, a burglary victim, upon returning home and examining his residence, reported finding various items within the home that did not belong to him. Those items included a cell phone and a bag filled with various narcotics.

Eventually, deputies were able to identify Carl Dean Stuckey DOB/11-09-1968, as a possible suspect.

Initially, Stuckey, who lives in the mobile home park where the burglaries occurred, denied involvement in the burglaries. He indicated his cell phone was recently stolen but thought it was a waste of time to report the incident to law enforcement.

On 06-26-2020, forensic technicians were able to match latent prints taken from inside one of the crime scenes to Stuckey. Detectives responded to Stuckey’s residence on Glenwood Street.

Stuckey refused to answer questions about the burglaries and was arrested. Some of the stolen property has been recovered.

Stuckey was charged with six counts of Unoccupied Burglary of a Dwelling.

His bond was set at $60,000.
